We believe we resolved most of the issues by now.

and assumed the search was because of the reindex
i assume you dont have a pretty little status bar showing that its up to 22% complete?

We had a problem with the style, so it was giving you the old version. That's why you didn't have the multi-quote and whatnot. They should be there now. As far as seeing the ads within messages, if you are logged in you shouldn't be seeing them.

My pleasure.
No, but I do get to sit there and watch a number grow.... slowly.... it's on post #2,975,644 (out of something like 5 million). And that's been running for 6 hours!

you can now see the history on threads you edited and even run a compare to see what all you edited
interesting.. seems like it would be typically useless.. but interesting
edit.. testing
was that spellcheck option always up there on the right? not that i normally would bother to spelchek my posts

DVD Talk Gold Edition
I'll be the sourpuss. Hopefully they wont. I use VBulletin as well for a personal site of mine, and as much as I really like VB, they sure did bloat things a bit lately. That networking stuff that someone else had mentioned basically gives people the ability to turn your forum into myspace. Worst Idea ever.

Here's hoping they take the post count out too. I always liked the title change only (DVD Talk Special Edition, etc...), simple and elegant.
I have seen one post with an ad in the first message like Tarantino posted on the right, inside of the posters area.
Edit:
1. Oh my. This is definitely not an issue, this is awesome. When you post on quick reply, it doesn't reload the page, it just sticks the message right above the quick reply window. Sweet!
2. The Edit window defaults to embedded. That's cool. No issue.
<s>3. ISSUE: When you go to subscribe to a thread, it defaults to "no email notification" instead of "Instant notification by email." I'll be damned if I have to click an extra time to subscribe to a thread!</s> Note: This can be fixed in the User CP.

I have a question: how do you insert text as a link? That is, a link that does not show the http address but rather underlined text than when clicked takes you to the target address?
Before you would click on "insert link" and were asked to include the text before specifying the address. Now it only asks for the http address.
Thanks.

I'll look into the getting logged out problem.
