I went back to Shenzhen, China and couldn't get my DVDTalk fix.
Blocked at a wi fi coffee shop, blocked at a hotel, and blocked at my girlfriend's apartment after 2 days. I thought I was banned.
So whats going on with China? I am going to live there for 3-4 months this summer.

Just a guess but I suspect the problem is on that end rather than anything DVDtalk (or it's provider) is doing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_censorship_in_the_People's_Republic_of_China

I know about the the censorship issue in China. Can't get wikipedia there etc . . .
But to be honest I was able to read ALL Tibet articles last week except one from the UK. I really think it's on DVDTalk's end because when I try to go past the first page and into a forum it will show a blue box and inside it says something like "your IP address is blocked contact the moderators here" and "here" is a link to email.

You may be getting some IPs we've blocked due to humongous amounts of spam coming from them.

That was my guess at the time. Just seems weird it was fine at my GFs for 2 days and over Xmas. She isn't spamming I promise. I do think they have rigged up a router for the whole wing of her floor in the ceiling. I saw the apartment manager's computer screen downstairs and it looked like he had control of everything.

We could perhaps get more granular if you give us specific IPs. I don't think wifi coffee shops would be the ones we'd really want to open up though.
