Happened to me when clicking on a thread link in a subscribed forum email. The review forum, the criterion thread.
Turned off scripts in Firefox to prevent it from happening again.

Got hit with it first thing this morning. I'm on a (work) machine w/o Firefox installed, so I turned off ActiveX on IE.

Finally had enough and installed script block on Firefox. Once I allowed Dvdtalk, aside from googleadservices.com and google-analytics.com , there are no other scripts trying to run.

This will not even let me back out of it, have to force close the browser, very frustrating

that is a bit of a "do wrong" on google's part. i installed the NoScript add-on mentioned previously on all my windows and mac boxes and i have not had any further problems.

Just happened to me -- using FireFox 2.0.0.8 on Windows Vista on my (Dell) laptop. Went to the page with the list of forums, and was going to enter my userid-password (was just typing userid in) when I got redirected.

I don't know if it just happened or if it means anything, but I'm not getting the ActiveX warnings at the top of every page now.
