It has happened to me several times over the past four days, in both Firefox and IE7, on two different computers.

Happened to me when clicking on a thread link in a subscribed forum email. The review forum, the criterion thread.

Turned off scripts in Firefox to prevent it from happening again.

Got hit with it first thing this morning. I'm on a (work) machine w/o Firefox installed, so I turned off ActiveX on IE.

Finally had enough and installed script block on Firefox. Once I allowed Dvdtalk, aside from googleadservices.com and google-analytics.com , there are no other scripts trying to run.

that is a bit of a "do wrong" on google's part. i installed the NoScript add-on mentioned previously on all my windows and mac boxes and i have not had any further problems.

Here's a novel question: Why don't you kill that ad group until the problem is resolved?

Edit: Great minds think alike.

I'm less concerned with 10 mins ago. And more concern with anything after 10am PT. VERY important that all reports be for things which happen after that point. Because that's the point where adsense went off.

Just happened to me -- using FireFox 2.0.0.8 on Windows Vista on my (Dell) laptop. Went to the page with the list of forums, and was going to enter my userid-password (was just typing userid in) when I got redirected.

OK I'm going to turn off ads one by one and we'll find the culprit. So it may not be adsense afterall.

I don't know if it just happened or if it means anything, but I'm not getting the ActiveX warnings at the top of every page now.

Yeah I just installed NoScript in Firefox.

I'm not going to stop coming to DVDTalk because of this, but I don't want to wait for it to end before I comeback either.

Well it's been 20+ mins since we shut off a suspect ad and so far no reports. I'm hoping we've found it.
