I know this happened. It happened! No one can convince me it didn't.

OK, so earlier today The Bus added in a comment to this thread, which was, like, three years old. I replied with this picture:



... and then went on. A bit later I went back to the front page of the Other Forum, and POOF! The thread was gone. And now it's locked.

I assume some mod or admin deleted the comments by The Bus and me, and then closed the thread. But why?

That looks more like a mummy than a zombie to me. Maybe that's why it got locked?

Ah... that probably does explain it. Although that's only, like, two threads... don't see what the fuss was about. (But there's always things that go on behind the scenes that are better left unsaid...)

You know, the more I think about this, the more this bothers me. Since when is it against the rules to bump old threads? I mean, if someone was running around resurrecting threads from the archives left and right, I could see it, but two threads? From a long-time active poster? Without so much as an in-thread warning???

I mean, what the fuck? I know that admins here have godlike power, but this seems entirely arbitrary.

I think I"m with you NCMojo, but I'd love to hear the mod response first. Perhaps there is more to the story.
