RSS feeds

Funny, I was just about to post the same thread here. I would love if feeds were made available for forums.
As a person who originally laughed at feeds when they first came around, I've been using Google Reader like crazy - It's just too damn simple to view all your sites in no time at all.
Is/will this be in the works anytime soon?

It's possible for the individual forums but not threads. The stock syndication script with vBulletin would need to be mondified to do it.
For forums is simple.
Go to the forum you want and in the URL get the forum ID for example:
http://forum.dvdtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=9 <<--ID for Other is 9
To get a feed of that forum use this:
http://forum.dvdtalk.com/external.php?forumids=9
You can change your type of feed from RSS, RSS2, or XML (no type = RSS)
For example for RSS2:
http://forum.dvdtalk.com/external.php type=RSS2&forumids=9
Change the type to xml for...well...xml.

Uh, wait - it only displays 15 threads and some of them are pretty damn old. I don't know if it's just a google reader thing but it looks like this isn't going to work so good after all.

It must be how the feeds on this board are configured. I do the same on my vBulletin board and it shows you all the latest threads from the forum.
Perhaps Geoff can look into it?

Any update on this? I'm guessing it will be a no go anyway due to the amount of subscibing and un-subscribing that would occur.
