I can't stand these damn video advertisements on these web pages. Sometimes I'll have my volume set up real high after listening to some music, then I go to a website and my cursor accidentally rolls over some Matrix ad and I jump outta my seat when it starts playing.
Not as annoying as those ads that pop up right over what you're trying to read, however. Half the time I can't find the damn "close" button cause it's hidden on the bottom corner. I just leave the page then.

Yes.
As far as Matrix ads go the one of this site has got me a couple times. I've had my headphones on and the Matrix ad comes on 5x's as loud and nearly blows my eardrums.
Get rid of ads with sounds!

Probably against forum rules, but the Firefox extension "Flashblock" will stop them from playing automatically as you just get a flash logo anywhere there is flash that you have to click to allow the flash to play (and can sit sites to "allow" on places you want to use flash regularly).

Personally, flash ads with sound are more than I'm willing to put up with, and I wouldn't visit the site at all if I couldn't get around them, so at least I'm still giving views to the non flash ads on the site.
But if Geoff continues with such annoying ads, I can't see myself sticking around much longer without being aloud to block the flash ads.
Please just put up a paid ad-free forum area. Many of us would happily pay a fee if no ads was the ONLY feature it provided.

What annoys me is when I don't even roll over them and they start playing. It happens a lot more on my Mac running Firefox than on my PC, but sometimes I'll be halfway down the page and I'll hear "NOW ON HD-DVD"

Holy shit. I'm trying to watch the first video in "The creepiest video in the history of creepy videos", I drag the cursor to copy the address, as mom is talking to her soon, GLAMOROUS....GLAMOROUS.... starts blaring. CREEPY!
