Or ya'll could mail them to Bando's house. It's the little blue and white one on the corner. Wait... give me a bit and I'll post a cell phone picture. |
I've been here a long time, and honestly by this point expected a lot more ads so I am ok with whatever makes this site run. But I don't think I have ever clicked an ad. Now I know back when I used to buy things online I did use ref. links a lo, but I don't spend money online much anymore.

The ads within the posts are really annoying to me also.
The ads between the first and second post were fine though. |

I've been here a long time, never complained about ads, but these new ones suck!!!!!!
|
One more "This is awful" vote.

I pray to god that Miss Peach doesn't get wind of this.

I find the ads within the posts less intrusive than the ones in-between the messages. It's easier to read posts continuously rather than having breaks like that. Besides, I think it looks tidier (e.g., no huge "dead space" for a tiny ad in the middle of the screen).

I am sorry to say it but...This is absolutely terrible!!

Maybe it's my browser (Safari 2.0.4), but if a post begins with a quote and contains an ad, they overlap, making a chunk of the post pretty much unreadable. It's incredibly annoying.

Another "these suck" vote. :) |
I'm all for ads if they keep us free here (although I would pay a small amount to be premium/ad free).
However, I strongly think the ads need to be completely outside of individual posts, or at least clearly marked as ads and separated by a line of some sort. I'm with Miss Peach on that. |
This is crap, please change it back!
|
Another vote for these suck, go back to the way it was.
|
I noticed this as it happened to me just now.
I don't mind the ads BETWEEN posts, but this crap of interjecting them INSIDE the posts really throws off the flow of reading the posts. |
Edit : Free Speech suppression

Yeah, this is pretty crappy. Do these ad companies just sit around thinking of new and exciting ways to annoy potential customers? I'd gladly pay a yearly fee to Geoff to avoid seeing ads in the forums if this is the direction we're heading.

Edit : I love DVDTalk.

Note that it's against the TOS to run an adblocker at DVDTalk.
