Why does my thread keep getting moved?

There's several threads in Other about the same exact thing, and they were allowed to stay in Other. Why is mine any different?

Tell me what digital camera to buy
$320 to spend on a digital camera - recommendations?
Digital Camera people, lend me your opinions....(DSLR content)

And that's just three. Do a title search for "camera" in Other and take your pick of the many threads that didn't get moved to Tech. I'm not asking a tech question. I'm asking for a camera recommendation.

Do a search on 'camera" in Tech Talk. The number of threads were too numerous for me to list.

I didn't move your original thread but a moderator of Other decided that was where your thread belonged. You decided to overrule that decision so I moved your second thread from Other to Tech Talk.

So why didn't all those other threads get moved as well? They were all asking the same basic question. Can we get all the mods on the same page?

Nope. They are different people and are bound to handle situations differently. What is the difference as long as people respond to your thread?

Because it'll be seen by more people in Other, AFAIC. Also, it's a matter of principle. Lots of other people have obviously been allowed to have their "camera recommendation" threads in Other without being moved. Why is mine different? That's the question I would like answered.

First, "it'll be seen" has never been the main criterion as to where a thread belongs.

Second, it doesn't appear that the forum a camera thread was posted in, whether Other or Tech Talk, results in a significant difference in the quality or quantity of responses.

[Full disclosure: The second point was derived from a cursory inspection of several camera threads in both forums but I did not run the statistical tests that would have supported the true meaning of a significant difference at a reasonably high statistical confidence level.]

Well, that's why I said (or at least abbreviated) "as far as I'm concerned". It's just my opinion that one forum would be be more seen than the other. If that opinion turns out to be incorrect, that's fine...but all the official-sounding double-talk STILL doesn't answer my question as to why other people can have camera recommendation threads remain in Other, and mine was moved.

probably because the mods didn't notice the other threads. you can rptm of you see any that should be moved.

...or there is a vast mod conspiracy against you
