Are some sites "banned" here?

And if so, why?

I just tried linking to ************** in Other...when the post showed "removed" was in the place of the link. What gives?

Some are banned due to spamming, others due to content that has been deemed inappropriate (often things like images of killings, excrement, etc., or that have a habit of replacing linked images with things of this nature.)

I noticed I can't post links to L C V G . com - site established and run by hometheaterforum/dvdtalk folks. I tried to post a link to the review of the joytech AV control center, but no dice.
