Are the forums for DVDfile and DVDTalk related at all?

I've been attempting to register at DVDFile using the same userID as I have here, but I did not receive the activation email. After over a week of sending emails and not getting a response, I attempted to register again using a different UserID and a different email. Still no activation email.

Now comes the good part. I have started receiving the newsletter from here (dvdtalk), but I am getting two copies. I get a copy for the UserID/email for my account here AND a copy to the email that I used for my second account at dvdfile.

Absolutely NO relation between the 2. Are you sure you didn't enter a DVD Talk giveaway w/ your other email address and select the optin to the newsletter option?

I don't recall doing so, but anything is possible I guess. It was just odd that this all started within the last week.
