LurkerDan, you have a good point, and I'm sorry if it came across that way... I still maintain that out of all the posts in that thread, Deftones's posts were the most unsubstantiated and general, so his were the ones I noticed. I was adding the smileys because 1)that's what I do ;) and 2)I was TRYING to keep the tone light.

Oh, and a bigger apology for forcing you to defend Deftones, that must've been painful.. ;)

I'm a neutral party. I read that entire thread. Admittedly the thread title was a little baudy, but we all do it. It started as a joke and it got blown way out of proportion. Honestly, tool did start attacking a bunch of people in the thread including people who had nothing to do with whatever was going on at the time. In fact, he was randomly attacking folks who were *defending* him.

Frankly, it looked to me like he was looking for an excuse for a long time to say a big FU to everyone.

There are a number of members that really need to grow up.

The issue with the fucked up Penn "There is no God" thread is a direct outcropping of issues and tensions which come out of 'The Island'.

Several mods made it very clear that if people wanted to continue to discuss the issue that they should start a new thread. The fact that this wasn't respected and infact was repeatedly challenged truly sucks.

This or any of our forums aren't the place to 'have it out' with other forum members. If you have an issue with someone or problem with their post either a) drop them an email or b) put them on your ignore list. Mods aren't here to referee your spats and this kind of behavior WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

Honestly I could give a shit about what's posted on 'The Island', but when issues and such from there spill over here, it puts the members who participate in crossing over issues at risk of being banned from this forum.

I've simply had enough of this.... Either play nice or you'll find that you can't play here anymore.
