Would some one please point me to the link (if there is one) that explains the levels in rank that members of this forum need to earn before rising in rank?

It seems like I've been a "Member" (no jokes) for quite some time.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with the number of posts you have, not necessarily how long you've been around.

Number of posts and NOT posting in a DVD Discussion thread about ranks....

I understand that Shagrath, I'm just trying to see what I have to work toward in rank and level wise.
I signed up in 2002, but never posted. I just started posting last year.

Sorry Gizmo, I was just looking for a quick answer and thought the best place with the sharpest members would be in this forum. I really do run into some real "friendly" people in these forums.

FWIW, I think that the new rank you have is sarcastic and in poor taste.

You can't win; it seems if you have a real question or suggestion, it's best to just shut up. People like 8ShelbyGT500KR are not a dime a dozen here unfortunately.

But on the otherhand, posters here are better than on any other forum I've found on the net as it's strictly moderated. The mods do a great job of keeping the trolls and assholes away most of the time.

I feel like I've been at the same level forever too...not that I care though.

I think it's a sign that you already fit in, and at least one of the admins thinks you're cool enough to joke aorund with, otherwise they wouldn't have changed your title.

I didn't look at the FAQ but I think there's one level called "DVD God" or something along those lines. It's like 100,000 posts. The weird thing is a couple of people are on their way to that.

At my pace I'd be 100 years old before I got to that.

I'm back to "member" again.

the real titles only go up to 25,000
there isnt officially anything above that

Actually I think there's a member with this ranking already.

Odd that the FAQ lists two above 25,000, one of them being "God"...

yea, but it was tested at 50,000.. and turned out not to be true
despite what the faq says.. the member rankings stop changing after 25,000
