After a certain number of replies, you shouldn't be able to delete the whole thread. Seems that's too much power for one forum member, especially kvrdave.

Absolutely.

So next time I start a thread and lots of cons make good points over 9 pages, I'll just delete it and act like it never happened.

The power feels good in my grip.

I got tired of the same old bullshit but also couldn't pull away. I had to leave yesterday and got too far behind, so I was going to start a thread specifically on the Hardy critique and rebuttal, but did anyone give me time? Nooooooooo.

Exactly. One man's trash is another's treasure.

Anyway, what I started to say, before I was so rudely interrupted, was...
The probable reason for lower gun deaths in Canada is most likely due to the types of weapons involved. Handgun ownership is severely restricted. Automatic and semi-automatic weapons are prohibited. Acquisition of non-restricted weapons, like hunting rifles, is the least onerous procedure, but may still require several weeks to complete.

Perhaps the first time I've ever disagreed with you on something non-political.

I agree the thread ought never have been started, but a lot of people put a lot of effort into making that thread. It is a frustrating thing to do to them.

This is something a guy like Michael Moore himself would do.

dave wasn't comfortable with the compensation plan he had in place. He'll be using undocumented workers for future Moore threads.

Yes, writing is work. And another member went to the trouble of taking screen shots of the scene in question. We were answering the question that kvrdabe desperately wanted someone to address.

I guess he didn't like the answers.

Yes, yes I did.

And I'd do it again. Muhahahahahhaha.

Honestly, I just got tired of the same old crap. Reading through it, it became obvious that it was going nowhere but where every other thread on MM has gone. Find one of the old threads, reread it, and it is the same.

But let me tell you how it would have turned out. MM defneders would have believed the MM response. MM detractors would have believed the Hardylaw critique. MM defenders would have minimalized the good parts of the critique, and MM detractors would have minimalized the good parts of the MM response.

There....now you all now the ending and can go aobut your days happy that you think you won.

Are you really shocked it went that way?

The real tragedy in all this is that dork never returned on Page 5 as promised.

but dave, you asked for us to address the Hardy thing point by point. Several of us did address the very thing you were begging us to. We asked for you to move on to point 2 (as you requested). Apparently, you weren't comfortable with Hardy being exposed...

I agree. I think after a certain # of people respond to a thread, the author shouldn't be allowed to delete it.

A lot of great points in that thread showing, without a doubt, where Michael Moore intentionally lied.. too bad that's all gone.

And you didn't think that would be the result when you created it?

No, leaving the thread run its course and be archived would have been the proper thing to do. Now everyone has to look up the URLs and stats the next time this comes up.
