I think Bando and cranky could be the New Road Warriors. They could wear big football pads with spikes on them, and carry a big mod stick.

I'd like to be mod of the sports forum so I can personally deal with the Laker fan infestation that's been plaguing the forum for years!

I would like to nominate myself for getting the "power of the mod" but without all that pesky responsibility that goes along with it.

I'd like to nominate myself for moderator of a political sub-forum (if there ever is one) so I can tamper with thread titles to coinscide with my vast right-wing conspiracies. Muwahahahaha!

He could still change the thread titles to scatological puns.

You'd one-up him by changing the thread title altogether to something far more silly.

Until, of course, the thread-starter complains, stemming from a lack of a sense of humor.

It's one thing to joke about changing thread titles as a joke, but another to imply that the mods are doing it in order to have the thread titles more in tune with their personal political views.

While I'm sure NC was joking about this, I know I never appreciated these kinds of jokes when I was a mod because not everyone is aware that it's just a joke, and it can therefore simply fuel the already over active imaginations of some forum members who thought I had something against them or their beliefs.

Yes, I was joking. To the best of my knowledge, X has never changed a thread title just so that it would coincide with his vast right-wing conspiracy.
