i started a friendly thread here and it got locked...don't know why

Sometimes a mod or admin will lock a thread when they believe there is nothing of value left to say. Since this was a thread where you just wanted to say "hi"... and since you did, in fact, say "hi"... that would seem to pretty much wrap things up.

Anyway, welcome to the forum! (And yeah... that alternating cApS stuff... yeah, that's gotta go... )

There used to be a rule that stated you couldn't sue me regardless of any NEWS FLASH!!!es you provided. Not sure if that's still a rule, but it should be.
