There's ****, ****, *****, *******, ****, ********, ****, ************, ***, some others, and then there's always *******.

Let me guess:

****, ****, *****, *******, ****, ****, ***, and that one really long one: ************?

Some others would be:
******, ****, ******, pianist, *******?

Edit: Oh yeah! Got all but one.

I also agree that the prefix to homoerectus should be uncensored.

As one of the long-time resident queers, I don't have any strong feeling about this either way. I appreaciate the intent, and I don't think it provides any serious hardship or awkwardness when discussing other issues. Nor do I think it's horribly necessary, except as a subtle reminder that even when we're joking around we need to treat each other with some level of unspoken respect.

I come up short in trying to find an analogous racial epithet for comparison. It's nowhere as intrinsically hateful as say, ******... More like darkie or something, although not as old-fashioned... And just like any of these words, context is everything.

It's not a term I'd like to see thrown around a lot here, even as a mock-insult between friends. That would have a chilling effect on some of us. At the same time, the rules against real personal insults are quite clear, and I don't see that unbanning the word would be likely to make this seem a less friendly place.

For me, it's a toss-up. Insert tossed salad joke here.

I can appreciate what's being said. As another longstanding resident gay boy, I can say that I HATE HATE HATE the word faggot and think it is the same as "******" or "spick" or any other offensive slang word. Notice I put those in quotations because I was always taught how offensive it would be to use them. I'm kinda cool with them being censored. Having encountered some of the morons that use this board, I can understand why.

Agreed...I'd much rather see 'faggot' censored than hey-moe! hey-moe!

The censoring the one named ******* however, fits right in with my personal hoe-moe agenda

I won't dignify the second part of your post

I agree with the above. I find the term "faggot" offensive, as well as "Jap" and simply "***".

Poor *******, I really didn't think people posted in the Feedback Forum, but it looks like the mods are a little more sensative to your whining ways!
