OK. This has gone too far!

I’m trying to post something in TVTalk about a TV program featuring dogs. I’m making a reference to a possible suspension using a certain country’s name, as is often done when referring to this breed.

Instead of “[insert country name] possible suspension,” I get “[insert country name] possible suspension.”

Thanks for the warning. I honestly appreciate knowing up front.

But, C’MON guys! Isn’t this taking things just a wee bit too far? Has it really come to this?

And, as I’ve previewed this post in advance, it turns out that “French” is not the hot-button word. It’s the dog’s breed name that’s gonna get me in trouble?!? WTF? I've left the above exactly as it was presented to me in the preview.

LOL

We should fix that. It was a temporary solution.

Poodle.

Ya know, I can understand possible suspension, and would certainly support potential permanent ban.

But how does frog slip by, and not poodle?

I guess I had to be there.

I have no idea what this thread is talking about. Does the forum give you warning messages if you post a word that might set you up for suspension or something? I guess I'm missing something.

Well, it seems that, for some strange reason, it seems that “poodle” was a no-no. I misread the situation, and naturally thought I was being warned about “French,” which I guess might be understandable. They’re screwing up just about everything these days. That would make my first post, for you, very confusing. Ya with me so far?

Now, my last post, maybe if I used brackets or something the faux substituted words would be more clear. But, as I am often quite unclear, what would be the point?

So, yes, it would appear that there was an auto substitution in place that substituted “poodle” with “possible suspension,” just as swear words are replaced with ****. (IBTL has been like that for quite some time.)

Poodles are always a no-no.

It's not the poodle that's a no-no, it's what you do with the poodle...
