No, seriously.....unban Aaron
I have been on this board long enough to where you guys know I would not try to stir the pot just to stir the pot....
I know you locked the pertinent offending thread, but you guys need to reconsider.
I don't like Aaron's posting style, and don't read many of his posts......but the guy enjoys it, he's not hurting anyone, and usually corrects himself when his offensive style is brought to his attention.
If you ban me, I move on...Aaron enoys it here, he's happy here......
warn, delete, suspend, whatever........don't ban.

Since it is against the forum rules to talk about banned members (and I doubt that Aaron's situtation will be an exception to the rule), perhaps we can put together an email petition, signed by the DVDTalk community, to un-ban him?

If Aaron did something truly beyond the pale, then I understand him being banned.
If he was banned because of the fact that for the 9th or more time he fell back into his repetitive behavior syndrome (posting too many letters to the editor, getting obsessive on a singular topic), then I'd feel yet another suspension would be in order.
Aaron does need to be reminded to improve his behavior. And he will need to be reminded again and again forever. It's part of his problem that he understands he has.
But if he's banned just because we're tired of reminding him, then shame on us (all of us, not just dvdtalk mods) for not trying to be inclusive and understanding of people that have issues while trying to post along with the rest of us.

People seeing his recent subject matter should understand why he was banned. We have no tolerance for persistent attacks on particular groups of people.
And as we do not discuss banned members I'm closing this thread. As diacritic said, if you want to pursue this issue, take it to e-mail. However I should mention that DVD Talk is a private enterprise and does not run as an entity where people can vote on administrative decisions. DVD Talk's rules are plainly stated and members are expected to follow them.
