Quick Reply login

when i'm not logged in and i use the quick reply and put in my username and password, it takes me to another page that asks me to login again, then takes me to a page that says i followed an invalid link.

basically the login doesn't seem to work with the quick reply

Yeah. I cleared my cookies once and had to log in again, and I had the same thing happen to me from the Quick Reply.

I've never had the quick reply login work. I just figured Geoff wanted it that way.

I just look to see what the new name is. This one confuses people with D.xxx. Maybe he'll change it to something like V.xxx without the Rubbermaid part. I'm sure he'll come up with something better as soon as i say something dumb which should be anytime now.

Never works for me either. I always have to hit back, cut what I just wrote, log in the regular way, find the thread I was just in, and paste my reply. Never have trouble on any other site. Most other sites don't have the logged in user listed so maybe he's using a different hack.

I wish we could have the option to disable the signature when using the quick reply. Sometimes I want a quick reply to be just a word or two without a bunch of extra thrown in.

Heh, I was just going to ask about this. I cleared my cookies, typed a long post, logged in, and had to log in again find the right thread and retype my post. I was sorely inconvenienced.

Never works for me either. I just thought it was something wrong with my machine.
