You can't...not allowed.

The IMG code is off in the signatures

I think it's not allowed mainly because it would take even longer to load a page for people who use dialup. Plus, some people might feel compelled to use tons of pictures in their sigs (I've seen it elsewhere.)

You can always do something like:
