kvrdave deleted thread about shooting dogs

Was writing this when it was deleted by himself I guess - but after a "scolding" from the evil RandyC

I for one was happy i could read this thread - it seems weird to "outlaw" a thread like this? Its not exactly a troll thread?
Maybe poor kvrdave would like to discuss this - perhaps he is not
real happy to do this either?

Feel bad for the dogs for sure, but .. Maybe shoot the owners?

The thread was not outlawed, I was just disappointed it was created.

I *can* see some validity in the thread. It was probably that we just received a number of REPORT THIS POST TO A MODERATOR emails and I can see this one being more of the same.
My main point was that the thread was not created in order to discuss the issue. There was no question. It was just a statement that he is going to do it. That only begs for two types of responses. The humorous which we did indeed get, and the people who are offended, followed by the people who take issue with the people who are offended.

Still, that is the job right? People create threads. People complain about threads being open. People complain about threads being closed.

The question is do we wait until the thread gets ugly or proactively lock it early on. Quite the gray area on this one.
