How do I become a Senior Member? I have over 250 posts...and I'm still a lowly member...in fact I hit 250 before and my total went down to like 200....im bummed

Well the FAQ says 250 is when you become a Senior Member, but perhaps it's been changed to 300 or so and that's why you haven't changed. Anyway, member status doesn't matter very much here, so no need to worry.

Maybe there's a mechanism in the system that kicks in when a member posts a flurry of fluff pad responses that have virtually nothing to do with the thread in their sole stated pursuit of "elevating" their member status. Just a wild guess.
But I have also heard that these mechanisms work themselves out after a period of time if they don't get kicked in again.
