How do I become a Senior Member? I have over 250 posts...and I'm still a lowly member...in fact I hit 250 before and my total went down to like 200....im bummed

Well the FAQ says 250 is when you become a Senior Member, but perhaps it's been changed to 300 or so and that's why you haven't changed. Anyway, member status doesn't matter very much here, so no need to worry. :)

Maybe there's a mechanism in the system that kicks in when a member posts a flurry of fluff pad responses that have virtually nothing to do with the thread in their sole stated pursuit of "elevating" their member status. Just a wild guess.

But I have also heard that these mechanisms work themselves out after a period of time if they don't get kicked in again.
