Expressing MY dislike for pr0n everywhere in the other

i don't want to rain on anyones parade - but I really think some of the threads in the other are beyond good taste. Why is there a thread about fisting??? Oh wait, let's see if this woman is 'trained' properly or not... Hmm free image hosting sounds good , oh wait its a chicks ass again.... surprise surprise.
Im sorry these threads are just beyond gross and it makes me not want to ever go in there again...I don't mind 'babe of the day' threads, but really - this stuff belongs elsewhere.

Thanks.

Did you read the thread on "fisting"? When I last looked at it, there wasn't actually anthing about fisting in it.

I will add a mature tag to the title of the thread on image hosting.

I'm in agreeance. I'm all about the "ebb and flow" thing until it goes the way of making people either uncomfortable or even personally offended. There are some threads that ought to be at the adultdvdtalk site rather than here.

The thread on fisting wasn't about fisting until a mod changed the title and the hijack began. You've got a good point about the image hosting thread since there was no mature tag. But the other threads have the mature tag. I guess you could beware of the mature tagged threads.

Everybody knows what fisting is.
I just don't see why it needs to be in a thread title to get people to click on it.
Can I start a thread called 'guy gets ass reamed by snow shovel handle???

True, but how 'family friendly' is a thread about a woman being properly 'trained' by being on her knees? The whole otter is just getting way to sexist for me. When I'm offended by thread TITLES isn't something wrong?

Given the "quality" of some recent threads, I don't see why not. Except maybe you have too much class for that.

I think it's a good point and we need to try too curb the testosterone level in Other.

Thanks for the reminder, it can start to look like a guy's locker room and then we will only be left with a bunch of sweaty guys and old socks. Well, Grunter might like that , but we need to try to be a good place for everyone, includig the females and those who are at work.

Keep thread titles a little cleaner, make sure threads aren't turned mature w/o the proper labeling, and lock Soup in a cage. Problem solved.

Trying to keep Soup behind bars is like trying to drink soup from a sieve.

It's ineffective and you end up all messy.

But we will try.

I guess I'll offer this perspective..

Porn is great and all, but if I want to see it, I'll go on the web and look for it

I don't mind 1 or 2 threads, but it has gotten ridiculous

We have blocked DVDtalk at our school board per my recommendation (I administer the networks) because of the adult content in the Other forum. Although I dont personally mind the content it is not very appropriate for a site like this when you consider that many members and non members are underage...

Can I just say in my defense that I didn't intend the "Picture hosting" thread to have porn in it. I was just offering a place for people to link and host their stuff, like for get together pictures and whatnot.

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree. There are bigger fish to fry in life than worry about pics that a bunch of perverts put on the board.

all you need is more women in the other forum and you're set. now how you do that, i don't know. Perhaps lady night? What about having Rosie O'Donnell plug the site on her show? There's should be a taskforce or something made to look into these possibilities...

And I guess we could all say that if your neighborhood turned into a porno district. But most people seem to care about their environment and the areas they frequent even if there are "bigger fish to fry in life".

It doesn't bother me honestly. If I don't want to see it, I don't click on it. To each their own I guess.

I say a "one and only dirty pictures thread" for any nudity pictures. Keep it confined to one single spot. Then it would be a lot easier to avoid. Heck it could go for bikini pics too, not just nudity, although at the point, the advertisements would be racier than the posting content, which seems strange, but oh well.
