The option to show Printable Versions is susceptible to open html tags
If you have open html tags in your posts, they can affect how the "printable" version of the thread is displayed.
For example, in the prior version of forum software, I liked to deliberately leave an open trailing tag to reduce the size of the notation "Edited by". It was a nice workaround that was no longer necessary in the next version of forum software (this one). However, the prior version never seemed to let the next post in the thread be affected by these deliberately open tags, so it was "safe". This version of forum software behaves differently and closing of tags is often needed.
I've been editing some of my past posts that made use of the open tag to reduce the size of the "edited by" notation. Hopefully, this will make the printable versions more compatible with my posts.
