How to search within an existing thread
To search within a large existing thread, there is only one workaround method, that I know of for now, that will take you directly to the specific post within the thread. The main Search option only displays the first page of the thread containing the item.
To search, I went to the bottom of the page and clicked on the "printable version" button. This printable version contains the entire thread (no more page by page display) which can be searched by your browser's FIND option. This is CTRL F in IE.
It would otherwise be convenient if dvdTalk had a search function that would search within only the current thread. In the case of large threads (such as the "Best Alternative to Napster" thread), this would be convenient.

You might want to recommend that to the makers of vBulletin, the board software DVD Talk uses, at http://www.vbulletin.com/
