I run adaware every time I add a program.

Yes, I had MSN Messenger running, but I don't get pop-ups anywhere out of the ordinary.

Like dek, I only got the pop-up once in the thread (while the page was loading).

Actually, I recieved a weird pop-up the other day. If I get another one I'll be sure to note which thread and where the ad goes to...

I frequently run Adaware as well. I got the porn popup only once and it was on THIS thread a couple of days ago when I opened it for the first time. I haven't got anything else since. Weird.

Whatever it is, it is a very random pop up ad. I can be reading for 3 hours and not get it, but sometimes all it takes is logging in and checking 1 page and BAM. Like I said, no biggie, I just thought you should know.

I've not seen any yet at my work computer; I'll check from home when I get a chance.

Could it be some weird pop-up code coming in with the ads? Are all ads now served from ads.kleinman.com, and are those ads all hand-made? Is that server secure and virus-free?

Maybe we could e-mail the sites the pop-ups are for, and ask where they advertise. Assuming this marketing "tactic" is unintentional.

I tried your link and on the second reloading of it, got the same popup to happen. First time this happened to me for dvdtalk.

Edit:

Maybe it has to do with this image that was in the thread?

Yes, you're right. That authentication dialog box is caused by that GIF. However, that is all unrelated to the Porn pop-up problem.

Wrong. IM wasn't on. Only thing I had running on my computer is Dvdtalk and work programs, nothing else.
