Archives and search questions...

Go to Search, click on the drop-down box under Search Forum Area, and you will see the word Archives among the choices (though not among the Select Forum Area options). Does this mean that the new software comes with an archive feature?

Also, I foresee many frustrations with the new Search software, which requires that each search term contain at least three letters/numbers. I know this because I just now attempted a search for a certain thread on the Hitchcock thriller The 39 Steps, but was refused for entering a two-figure term. I was forced to locate the thread using terms relevant to the message replies. Can this be emended?

Anything with the word Archives in it seems guaranteed to be ignored by gkleinman.
