Consider Infidel for mod status?

I realize he's relatively new to the forum but as a former CSR at Columbia house he has valuable insight to the program there. Just a thought, either way he's become a good asset for that forum.

I think you should consider me for Mod Status. Seriously, I spend enough time here. I've been coming here for over a year now. I know the ins-and-outs to every section of the forum. I know what flies and what dies here, rules regarding one-and-only threads, common newbie questions, the porn-linkage otter rule. I think I'd make a good moderator. I'd like to try that very thing out.
And if I'm wrong, so what, I go to jail, you never hear from me again. But if I'm right, Geoffie, you will have saved the lives of millions of registered voters. Thank you.
(very good - short but pointless) But seriously, I think I could be a good mod, and it's not like there's an overabundance. But whatever, I'm tired and maybe it's a bad idea.

There are some members here who are helpful to us mods and administrators, and who care about the forum and (generally) abide by its rules. These people may end up as mods down the line. There are other people who are nothing but nuisances, who seem dedicated to breaking forum rules and/or turning the forum into their own personal playground. These people will *never* be mods.
That said, I'm not sure what motivated the creation of this thread, but we're always willing to hear who might make a good mod or not. Hearing what other forum members think can be very helpful.

actually being a mod is far more work than I believe most realize. I also think that many do not think about what effect the mod status will have on their interactions with fellow members.
I am happy helping out when i can and being a little bit of a nuisance from time to time i fear
. I do not think I would be a good mod- not because i could not do the job. just because i do not think i would be willing to pay the price.good luck to those who want the title

Codefree how can you be a mod when no one knows who you are from week to week
