Man Who Fell... is out in R2. Anamorphic with a couple of extras although not enough to make me get rid of my superb Criterion LD

According to Criterion's website the re-release of Beauty and the Beast will contain a new 5.1 soundtrack and four audio commentary tracks including one by writer and cultural historian Sir Christopher Frayling, the dvd will also contain the film's original soundtrack.Look for it to be re-released in early 2003.

shouldn't Babe be in line for special edition treatment? the current DVD was released in 1997 i think, and it's a pan & scan atrocity with no real extras.. it was nominated for best picture at the Oscars for crying out loud! i'm very surprised that doesn't even seem to be in the pipeline for a new, bigger and better DVD release.

Anyone know if theres a chance for a Criterion or other new release of Hitchcock's The Paradine Case? Im thinking of getting this one with the Free Shipping deal for Columbia House, but I dont want to get it just to find out a better version is coming out next week

Update.
Added Much Ado About Nothing, Driving Miss Daisy, A Star Is Born. No Planet of the apes in 2003 and therefore changed to rumored. Predator SE mid 2003. Romancing the Stone will not be reworked in 2003. No Towering infero or Poseidon adventure in 2003 (maybe not at all) so changed to rumored. Something is in store for all Alien movies in 2003. Alien is pretty much certain. Adding parts 2-4 as rumored. True lies will not be until late 2003 / early 2004 depending on when lightstorm have the time to fit in this project. Cronenbergs Fly SE may well be in late 2003.
Removed Black Christmas, Akira, LOTR, I Spit On Your Grave.

Expect all Alien movies to be released this year. Forget about 5 Star though. Fox is droping the Five star label. That is disapointing as they were going to do Aliens and True Lies as five stars. So Sad! They should be good releases still.

Batman?
What about Batman ? Or Batman Returns ? I just know there had to be a ton of deleted scenes for Tim Burton's Batman . Not to mention I'd love a commentary track and a better transfer.
I've heard rumors off and on about it from other forums - but you guys seem to have a better heads on up what is true and false.
*prays it is true*

facets.org lists the following in their New Video Releases section as available on 4/1/03:
A Delicate Balance - adapted from Edward Albee's play, with K Hepburn, Lee Remick, Paul Scofield, Joseph Cotten. I don't think this one was ever on VHS.
Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris - This one intrigues me as I know the music but had no idea there was actually a filmed performance of this show.
Don't know the studios scheduled to release these so if anyone knows anything please share.

Update.
Added Straw Dogs, Always, American Graffiti, The Andromeda Strain, *batteries not included, Brazil, The Breakfast Club, Fahrenheit 451, The Last Starfighter, Legal Eagles, Weird Science. Also added are LOTR 2 and LOTR 3. This is something new… I’m adding something to the re-release list before the actual first release. I guess it’s a fair assumption that they will follow the same release pattern as the Fellowship Of The Ring.
