Copying single layer DVD

I’m new to all this; I copied a DVD, put in my single layer DVD and it would not copy said I needed a double layer. It’s only a single layer original so very confused. Can someone help me please. I’m using the latest upgrade and not sure I like it

Single layer discs hold up to 4.75 GB. You need a dual-layer for anything bigger (up to 8.5 GB). I assume the material we are talking about is files the poster made themselves.

Re: Copying single layer DVD

It means you have to shrink the content of the original DVD down to a single layer's capacity. Doom9's forum will answer how that is accomplished.
