I have a number of self-made combo packs. If I really like a film and it have it on both DVD and Blu-Ray, I'll put both editions in a double blu-ray case so they'll be in the same place. I especially do this when the DVD is in one of the old "snapper" cases.
The trouble I have when I upgrade to Blu-ray is that, more often than not, the DVD packaging is much nicer than the Blu-ray and I end up keeping both.

I also like to keep things original. If possible, I like to keep combo packs as combo packs.

I will keep them, along with the Digital HD, because I am not a sell-out.

Indeed. Every time I upgrade my previous setup goes down the line. I can watch everything up to UMD in the living room, up to Blu-ray in the bedroom and the kids room can only do DVD/VHS. So having all discs provides flexibility. Not that I wouldn’t prefer all the sets in my house to be 4K with UMD players.
