The Mist (2007): thank God for Marcia Gay Harden because she was the highlight of the movie for my parents when we watched this in their hotel room last night (i.e. they hated her character). To my shock stepmom started getting ahead of the movie's plot even though she claims to never watch horror/gore stuff. Still a good flick as a whole but this latest viewing has dropped it a few pegs down in my book.

Apocalypse Now (Theatrical version) - Why did it take me so long to watch this for the first time? Sometimes those must-see titles just have a way of slipping under the radar. Phenomenal film, amazing performances... I can't rave enough. I hope the BD they're supposedly working on gets announced soon.
Super Fly - I expected a Shaft or Black Dynamite, but this was a more realistic, kinda depressing blaxsploitation flick. Loved the camp factor and bad acting, editing, fighting, etc.
Cornered! - Shitty DTV horror flick that I only watched because I'm friends with one of the cast members (and I had to review it). Yawn. Poorly written, lots of bad acting and weak kills. Only marginally enjoyable, but not enough to keep in my collection.

Re: Last DVD you watched?
There is an extended version of "The Mist"? I only knew about the B&W version. The theatrical "Mist" is already slow-enough as it is, so that's the one I'll stick with.
