Watched To Live and Die in L.A. (Special Edition) followed by an episode of Supernatural (S7): The Born-Again Identity.

I've slowly been making my way through the hundreds of DVDs in my unwatched pile, trying to remove any duds in an effort to downsize my collection. Tonight's movie was Starstruck, a 1982 musical comedy from Australia. I blind bought it from Borders for $4 just before they shut down.
It's about a teenage girl desperate to break into show business while working in the family pub. She's loud, colorful and subversive -- kind of like Cyndi Lauper, but with less charm. I wasn't feeling the tone at first, but it does have a pretty infectious spirit and a few of the songs won me over. I'd say this one's a keeper. My favorite musical number was sung by Angus, the lead character's 14 year old cousin/hype man:
