Virus (1980) - Kinji Fukasaku [director of Battle Royale] - very good end of the world film. I'd take 1 of a film like this over 100 The Day After Tomorrow films any time.

Let the Right On in (2008/Thomas Alfredson)

Was really amazed about the great outcome of this movie.Nice, lovely story. Some creepy good effects and good actors.More and more i prefer watching independent movies superior to block buster movies.Good movie.

The Loved One (1965) [Warner]
Love on the Run (1936) [Warner Archive]

Love on the Run was a very enjoyable Clark Gable/Joan Crawford comedy. The Loved One was just unpleasant to watch, especially the second half, so it's already for sale on Half.com...

Re: Last DVD you watched?

Torn Curtain. This was my first time viewing the film. I must say it was yet another Hitchcock classic - a film that I truly loved. However, I am still saddened over the loss of the collaboration between Bernard Hermann and Hitchcock that resulted from the shameful rejection and dismissal of Hermann's score for this, but that doesn't change the fact that this was an exciting and effective work.

Re: Last DVD you watched?

Alien

Disc 1 - The Movie
Disc 2 - Alien Legacy (Documentary)

Only annoying thing about the special edition I own is that because it was released in 2001, it doesn't include the extended edition. Would love to see it, but I'm not double-dipping for 3 or 4 minutes of extra footage..
