Re: Last DVD you watched?
I just watched the Addams Family/Addams Family Values double feature disc. The picture quality was amazing. You'd think that with two movies on the same side of a disc, the quality would be crap, but they're both single layer movies, one on each layer. The set is great, especially if you're trying to save space, as you get everything that's on the individual releases.

Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus. It was everything I hoped it would be, only not as cheesy as I'd have preferred. The special effects were mid-90s TV show quality, and I was hoping more for late 70s. Still, just the kind of thing to make me feel good about my Netflix membership.

Society - Not sure why it took me so long to watch this flick since I loved Yuzna's output in the 80's, and Screaming Mad George's FX. Good flick, even if it does take a while to get to some gory gags.

Jeeves & Wooster Season 1, discs 1 & 2 - As good as I hoped. Love reading Wodehouse, and it was great seeing Hugh Laurie in something different. |

Cool, I'll have to Netflix that as well.

My brother hadn't seen it, and we were keen to re-watch it, having loved it during its theatrical release. I was worried that it wouldn't be as fun the second time around, but it was. |

Magnificent Obsession (1935) - Not as good as the 1954 version, but still quite good.
From UFA to Hollywood: Douglas Sirk Remembers - German doc/interview. Kansas: Device-Voice-Drum - Kansas rocks! Rick Springfield: The Beat of the Live Drum - I saw him in concert a couple years ago, and when he ran through the crowd I got a high five. An Evening With Kevin Smith - Wow, he drew some big crowds. Does he still tour? Short Cuts - I well up quite easily, but this made me cry cry. The Big Store - Loving my Marx brothers indoctrination. |
Re: Last DVD you watched?
DayWatch = didn't really like nightwatch but liked this. I'm not sure why. Maybe because I watched it in its native language.
