It's disappointing. Whether you want to or not you'll automatically be holding it up against the IA films (Andrew Lau and Alan Mak's previous efforts) or be holding it against how great the cast is.

Tony Leung and Takeshi Kaneshiro are solid in this, but where the huge disappointment for me was in the script. It's sloppy and all over the place. The film is visually striking but the script is pretty pedestrian. The reveal isn't a hit and the journey to get there is rather tedious.

Not very good. Brittany Murphy was decent but I found it to be boring and a bit on the predictable side.

That sucks. I'll be honest though, I bought it mainly because of the cover recall thing.

I'd imagine most of the sales are happening because of that. Before her death, it was just another under the radar DTV flick.
