Two great films from Taiwan's best.
Major drawback : Both DVD's are 1.85:1 non-anamorphic.

American Splendor, a first time viewing. It struck me that it's pretty much the Anti-Amelie. It can't have been easy to construct a film narrative of Pekar's life, and I liked the way they included the real people as well as the dramatizations. The last scene plays out more melancholy now that he's gone.
