Role Models BD

Disappointing, though not terrible. I generally don't like David Wain movies that much, but this one looked interesting. While it had some funny moments it ultimately suffered from the same David Wain issues. Too much improvisation, which leads to some funny sequences but also gives it a loose, rambly, feel, and too much ironic detachment, which makes you not really care what happens to the characters. The movie goes through the motions of having the characters have goals and growth, but never commits to its characters in a meaningful way. Using fake sword fighting as a commentary on real battles was mildly amusing/interesting but ultimately the looseness and lack of commitment to character made this kind of 'meh.'

King Kong - Ext.Ed. - Peter Jackson's remake- Again I prefer the longer version of the film ala Avatar. The extra scenes make a great film even better IMO-

Great indie horror. A mixture of Lost Highway, Funny Games & Cache.
