George A. Romero's MARTIN (the Lionsgate re-release). Liked it a lot, a mixture of "Dexter" (the teenage years) and "True Blood" but with a 70's low-budget grindhouse feel permeating the psycho-sexual violence. Watched it again the next day with the commentary track; Romero and co. have some of the best 'family' group commentaries on horror DVD releases.

Ravenous

Heard a lot of good things about it but I didn't really care for it.

I'm watching Halloween (1978) and it's scaring the living you know what out of me. And what's funny is that I've seen this movie multiple times! I'm such a wuss!

R-Point

Not perfect, but succeeds at creating an eerie supernatural build up with some decent scares and creepy settings. Good stuff.

Black Devil Doll

Absolute travesty of a film. Dialogue was funny for about 5 minutes and became old and repetitive quick. And just think ...with one of the main actresses named "Precious Cox" ...I'm sure you can imagine the range of the acting (not that that's the point or anything) which is comprised of the animated ventriloquist dummy and porn stars ...oh yeah, and "White-T" (who actually is the target of one of the best lines in the film - unfortunately all of the other best lines were missing).

Foot Fist Way - Been wanting to see this for a while as I love Jody Hill and Danny McBride. Though this wasn't quite as laugh out loud funny as Eastbound & Down or Observe & Report, it still had plenty of uncomfortable black humor to keep me smiling. Great debut comedy.

The Tournament (Scott Mann, 2009)

Fun, pretty mindless actioner in the long line of The Most Dangerous Game imitators. Still not nearly as fun as The Running Man or Death Race, but I thought it was better than The Condemned.
