If anyone's looking for some light and fluffy stuff to watch today (Military Comedies), I recommend Girls und Panzer. It's a really fun anime show.

Another military comedy is on YouTube, a Bugs Bunny short, Falling Hare, about Bugs trying to stop a gremlins.

I don't know why, but even comedy isn't cheering me up today.

Watching MASH today. I have a few random seasons on DVD so I'm watching the third because I know how it ends.
I haven't seen Must Love Dogs in years, but it's not a sex comedy.
I'm OK with the sex comedy theme myself as it tends to be stuff that's easy to watch in the background.

Popped in season 8 of M*A*S*H tonight. Probably won't watch the whole season, but it's a possibility. M*A*S*H is one of those shows for me, that no matter how many times I've watched it, it never gets old. I've been watching it since before I can remember since my grandfather was a fan and I guess it stuck!

I miss Boomerang...We downgraded our satellite package and that is the only channel I actually miss.
I hope you're feeling better this evening! Thank you for your service.

I've watched M*A*S*H as it aired and then re-runs for years, but I'd bet that last night's viewing of S1E1 was only the second or third time I've seen that particular one. Cool to see how a few things were quite different.

I started today's challenge viewing with a show I'd never seen before, The Haunted Hathaways, on Teen Nick. It actually wasn't a bad show.

I just discovered a great Roku channel that has tons of anime, including a wide selection of comedy anime, Funimation. It turns out, even Devil May Cry counts has a comedy among other genres. Others I recognized were Dragon Ball Z, Ah, My Goddess, and Tenchi Muyo. Vandread was also on there, but I have the entire series of that on DVD.

I didn't see the early seasons of MASH so season 3 was new to me. I liked the first four episodes, but don't want to spend the whole month watching it, so now I'm watching the last four.

Watching MASH reminds me of the spinoff series Trapper John MD, which I didn't even realize was a spinoff because I didn't watch MASH during the Wayne Rogers years (I think of him in the Chiefs miniseries or the House Calls TV spinoff).
I guess they cast Pernell Roberts because he was a dead-ringer for Rogers.

Hmmm.... guess it's all in the interpretation. I don't think they look anything alike. My wife and I watched Trapper John M.D. during it's original airings and I recall enjoying it. But it's quite different than MASH.
MASH is one of those series where I love the first 6 seasons but liked it less and less as it slowly became more "preachy" and turned more dramedy with the emphasis on drama. I put the blame for that fully on Alan Alda as seemingly the more in control he was the more serious the show became. That's not to say there aren't some superb episodes in those last seasons but that overall I enjoy the first half of the run far more than the last half.
I watched one of my all-time-favorite service comedies last night, I Was a Male War Bride. I've not seen that one in years and had almost forgotten how good it is. I *did* notice a few things (mistakes?) I'd forgotten:
and there was another but I just can't recall what it was... Still, it's a very good Howard Hawks comedy.
I was going to follow it with Operation Petticoat but fell asleep... I may try that one tonight.

We took one of my boxers to the vet for his annual physical today, and what the vet said made me quite sad. He has an enlarged heart.

I felt like working on the challenge, so I turned on Boomerang and watched an episode of The Flintstones, where they went to Hollyrock.

Well here's another one how many films feature a cow smoking a cigarette and/or a underwater bar with a poker game going on
Well I will continue watching comedy today but since it is Friday the 13th I guess you know what that means. I plan on watching Saturday the 14th tomorrow too.

Lately, I've been on a Three Stooges and an anime kick, so I'll be watching a lot of that.

I no more than get that posted when I see FoxConnect is having a 50% off sale (yesterday only) and order S7 & S8 of MASH for $6.50 each. Now that I've finally gone past S6 in collecting I'm sure I'll finish the series during their next sale.

I don't know if it's come up in the past. What are you talking about? A play, or a stand-up act, or something? I'd be okay with that. The kinds of stuff I wouldn't want to see "wildcarded" would be movies that were meant to be serious (watched without "riffs"), or political debates, sporting events, and the like.
