Here's another version of Alice in Wonderland that I like. It's a bit darker than the original, I think, but still fun for the family.

Alice (1988) Něco z Alenky

Oh! I've got this version (somewhere); I'd forgotten about it. I've got a mini-series, Alice Through the Looking Glass, starring Kate Beckinsale, that I haven't watched yet, too. I'll must find it (for this month's challenge though).

Earlier this month I picked up Earthworm Jim and all the available season sets of Duck Dodgers. I'll be cherry picking them for the Animation Challenge at least.

I have a lot of Animation to go through so this challenge will be perfect. I won't be able to start right away as I will be away on vacation but I'll start as soon as I come back.

I finally figured out some of what I'll watch. I completed my commitment to the Disney Movie Club, and got quite a few animated movies, like Big Hero 6, Sleeping Beauty, 101 Dalmatians, and 101 Dalmatians II. I've got others as well. While my ordering will slow down, I think I will stay in the club however.

You can maximize your savings by cycling the account (i.e. quitting, re-enrolling with the best code). The possible downside would be if you already have anything of interest that's offered as enrollment titles.

Do you mean, like incentives to return, as they'll try to get me back?

Yes, they'll try to get you back but you don't have to wait for the best deal. Check out the Disney Blu-Ray Club thread for more details - it has the better codes listed and helpful information on how to maximize your membership. While the codes and information all mostly talk about BR you *can* enroll with DVDs and purchase DVDs for fulfillment titles and spend less.

I'm a member of the DMC as well. I have pretty much everything, so I just stay in for the occasional new exclusive. I rarely buy anything anymore, but every once in awhile there is a good deal or exclusive that I'll pick up. I do love the VIP pins, though. And at Christmas, they do ornaments that are exclusive, though last years was kind of cheap. As a VIP, there are two basic offers-buy 1 at full price and get the rest at 50% with free shipping or buy 1 at full price, get the rest at 60%. I know you get a better deal if you cancel then resubscribe, but like BobO'Link mentioned.

It won't count for the , but Thursday night movie at Oshkosh, will be the sequel to Planes, Planes: Fire and Rescue. The original movie was played before it even came out in theaters a few years ago.

Would Sin City count for its extreme greenscreening?

These have always counted in the past.

I have not watched this one. If the greenscreening is at least 50% of the movie, I don't see why it wouldn't count. There is one wildcard for this challenge. If you watch it and you don't think it counts, use the wildcard on it.

The Muppets are puppets, so they automatically count per the challenge rules. So go for it!

The start of the challenge is coming up really fast! Anyone have any comments/complaints/suggestions for the checklist? I did update a bit on studios from suggestions from last year. Anything missing?

It looks pretty solid. Maybe in a few years you can add Mamoru Hosoda to the director's list.

When I come back from vacation, I'm going to start to with finishing Mazinger Z and Shin Mazinger. I recently watched the Book of Dead and loved it.

I could see that happening. I took a look at his work and I've actually seen both "The Girl who Leapt Through Time" and " Summer Wars." I enjoyed them both.

I watched this not long ago myself and was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. I ended up picking up a copy when it was on sale about a month ago. I've been debating about whether I should re-watch it or not. It'd be a good one to watch during that time when it'd count for both animation and sci-fi...

 I forgot that I could include The Book of Death for this month challenge.

Oops, I'm thinking of Book of Life not Book of Dead.
