I wrapped up the challenge with a double credit viewing of Watership Down. I've really enjoyed the challenge this month and want to thank LJG765 for doing an excellent job of hosting!

Thanks for running a very enjoyable challenge LJG. I finished last night with 214 items watched with an episode of the original Generation 1 Transformers.

What a delightful month of animation! Thanks for hosting LJG765! I had a very enjoyable time diving into different series as well as revisiting old favorites. I came across new favorites such as Cowboy Bebop and finding new ways to appreciate the genius of Pixar's Toy Story trilogy.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get to everything I wanted. I'm hoping to finish up Glass Fleet over the next couple of weeks, and I still have sets of DuckTales and Kim Possible in my unwatched pile.

Thanks for hosting LJG765. I topped out at 44 but saw some films I never had before and got three movies knocked off the 1001 list.

Re: 6th Annual August Animation Challenge
Thanks everyone! Couldn't have done it without you guys!
I think we had some great discussions this month.
I finished up the challenge with my collection of Windsor McCay shorts and really enjoyed them. Think the disc was a little expensive for what was on it, but considering how hard it must have been to collect what they did, it was worth it. I recommend it for anyone who is interested in the beginnings of animated movies!
I'll wait a day or two for people to finalize their lists before I pick winners for the prizes. Thanks for the great challenge!

Re: 6th Annual August Animation Challenge
Yesterday evening, I called a friend to finalize travel plans, and she had gone to a double feature screening of Mulan and The Princess and the Frog. We're both fans of Disney and talked at great length about which of their films work and which don't. We both came down hard on The Princess and the Frog, a film we both admit liking. Sometimes it's nice to get passionate and analytic in your movie-centric conversations.

Re: 6th Annual August Animation Challenge
I managed to finish S3 of The Flintstones last night. My youngest granddaughter (age 4) was a bit disappointed that episode didn't have Pebbles (at all!) so we had to rewatch a few earlier ones in which she was featured.
Looks like I'll need to pick up a copy of S4 - I'd not planned to go past S3 as I recall not caring for the series as much after Bamm-Bamm came along (especially the episodes in which he and Pebbles were featured), felt "The Gruesomes" in S4 were a mash-up rip-off of "The Munsters" and "The Addams Family," and thought S6 *really* got silly with "The Great Gazoo" episodes (and that was as a 8-10 year old during the original run of those seasons). Maybe I'll find them to be better now that I'm a bit older...
I did't watch much but I *did* keep up with the thread. Lots of good comments and observations!
Thanks for running things LJG!

I'm ok with that. He doesn't seem to have a long time series, (Fillion doesn't either) but he's in several movies and series as a voice actor. Anyone have any objections? Or objections to Fillion or anyone else?
Frank Welker definitely needs to be on the list! I'm surprised I missed him, tbh! Whoops...

I didn't do a lot of volume, but got in some good first-time watches, so a successful challenge!

Maybe toss in Grey DeLisle too? Lotsa roles but not known to the general public.

It was a really fun challenge this year. Thank you everyone for helping it be a good one. We had quite a few people joining in on the challenge. The discussion was pretty lively, too, I thought. Is it sad to say I'm looking forward to next year's already?
