So I Saw This Ad On Craigslist...
I'm not sure if this is the right place to start a thread like this, but I really REALLY wanted to share this ad from CL that I saw for a DVD collection. Maybe you've found something similarly "off the wall" so to speak, and would be willing to share it with the rest of the class

Now, in their defense, they did update the ad about 48 hours later. I will post that link as soon as I find it again. Enjoy !

Okay, here's the updated ad. Better picture quality and a little less text, but not much of an improvement overall...

I hope this starts an interesting topic of discussion.

The thread title should be: "How not to sell your DVD collection."

Wow, that's one jaded and cynical craigslist user! I can see if they were selling the lot for $150 but even then it's an effective example of how to get zero responses.
In today's market $2 a piece is the "cherry-pick" price, not the lot price.

Nope, don't buy used discs (unless they're something that's out of print that I REALLY want.) Also don't have nor want kids- I'd advise the seller to stock up on condoms!

If you have both ads in two tabs, and switch between them, you'll notice the picture is taken at the exact same angle, but in the blurry one, one of the kids is in the corner. It's kind of freaky actually...

I do not have time to sit here and list them ALL because as stated, two young children here that take up most of our time and attention. Will remove when sold.

I guess if they told the buyer the list of titles, the buyer wouldn't want any of it? Strange that they won't give a title list.

Or at least post better / more close-up photos so people can read the titles. I walk in and I bought them, even though I don't know what they are? Huh. Such a bizarre ad. You gotta wonder what's behind all of those odd sentences.

Did anyone notice that she's selling them as new? How can they sell as new with small children? I've seen discs handled by children-they would not be considered new!

Please do not ask for a list of titles.
No kidding. As a lot they will be lucky to get half of that depending on the titles.
