If I remember correctly, it was some Disney film at a relative's house. I don't remember which it was, but I just remember it being this big thing about how you could select and scene and how better they looked.

My first dvd watched and owned was Blade Runner: Director's Cut. I remember the transfer as being so unimpressive that I wondered why I'd shelled out all this money for something I already had on VHS.
When my DVD of The Matrix came (from Reel.com…I used a coupon and paid $8), I was converted.
