Friday the 13th Franchise DVD question

They have the Deluxe Edition all the way to number 8. I can see why they didn't do it for Jason X as it was f'n trash. But I'll admit I haven't seen them all, but why did they stop at 8 and not do a deluxe edition for number 9? I was thinking of buying the entire collection either Blu-Ray or DVD, but figured the Deluxe Editions came with more special features and I hope I am right about that. Anyone have the deluxe editions or the entire collection set and would like to talk about the main differences as well?

Re: Friday the 13th Franchise DVD question

They stopped at #8 because that's the last film that Paramount owns. Starting with #9, New Line Cinema gained the rights to the Friday the 13th franchise. So, as far as Paramount goes, Fridays 1-8 are all there is. If Jason Goes to Hell (and all the films after it) were to ever get the deluxe editions, they'd have to come from New Line/Warner.
