According to Bill Hunt, reps for Fox, Warner, and DC told him that they've worked out their issues for releasing the series but that it's the creator's estates that are asking for a lot of money. So it sounds like money is the only issue at this point.

I just want to know why they felt the need to show 3 identical pictures of the same box.

Hmmm. Seems like someone on the HTF implied the exact opposite (that the Dozier stuff was all worked out, and that it was the other parties still in negotiations).

I hear ya as well, but it's not as easy as you think it is. There's still all that haggling that needs to be done between WB and FOX and until they both compromise on key things and play nice with the estates of the Dozier family and others who starred in this show, it might still be a while before we truly see an official release of the show. Maybe late next year might work. And yes, a complete series would be ideal.

I wonder how well this holds up. Loved the show as a kid but don't watch the theatrical movie I own.

You should - the clearly-deliberate (despite subsequent sarcasm and received/perceived wisdom) sense of humour, irony, satire is very witty and funny. There's clearly a great love of Batman, Spy-Fi, comedy and more involved behind the camera as well as in front.

Interesting how his tweet says "Complete series". Makes me wonder if that means there going to do a complete series box set first then do individual volumes? Plus maybe this is a good sign that we'll finally get to see Green Hornet hit DVD also.

Really happy to see this finally happening!! The only thing that could make it better is if the series was released on Blu-ray too but if I can only get DVD's I'll take them.

I'm hoping for a Blu release. Certainly too early to start freaking out over a DVD-only release when pretty much everyone but Internet dorks still just uses "DVD" when referring to the overall home video release.
And yes a Green Hornet set would be welcomed too.
