They probably wanted to put them out at a low enough price point for impulse buying. A complete set would cost more than the casual buyer might want to pay (there were 42 or 43 episodes, depending on who you believe).

I've reviewed the set at Amazon.com - I can't post the link as I haven't made enough posts here yet; suffice to say, some original music is missing but as far as I can tell the episodes aren't otherwise cut; the episodes are presented in production order.

Does anyone know for how many episodes Eddie Murphy did not do the voice? I remember another voice actor taking over for him at some point. Was it a whole season or just a subset of one? They seem to be promoting the voice of Eddie on the boxcovers, so I thought everyone should know he didn't do all of the episodes.

he didn't do the voice for quite a few episodes later on in the series. I believe it's Eddie for the first season though.

I picked this up today and I know they weren't going to invest alot of money in packaging...but holy shit is this flimsy. Every copy in the store had damaged artwork with one having a hole completely through it. I would still encourage everyone to support this release.

How many seasons were there and what happened on the last episode?

It was 3 seasons and technically the last ep's never aired in America to my knowledge, but the last known aired ep was about Thurgood getting and overcharging a credit card. I don't think I've ever seen that one.

I see they dropped the banner "Starring the voice of Eddie Murphy". Did he voice any of the episodes in this season or was it all the two replacement actors?

I noticed that too. This season is going to be hard to sit through with those terrible impersonators. Even in later eps in season 2 most of the ep it would be Eddie and for the last segment or a couple of lines you can tell it wasn't him

Going to pick up Season 1 at Best Buy soon and use the $5 off $14.99 DVD or Blu-ray coupon on it, since it's regularly priced at $14.99. No stores seem to have gotten Season 2 in stock yet though.

Target has season 2 in stock. As far the last 3 or 4 episodes, they never aired in America but they did in the UK. Also no word on if they are on there.

According to Lionsgate's press site, the third season set has 18 episodes, which would include the last few unaired-in-the-USA episodes.

Does anyone have this yet and can confirm the 18 episode count?

I've seen it at Target but I don't remember if it said on the package or not. It's great that they cranked these all out so fast though.

It's 12 episodes. Eps 32-39, per Wikipedia's current listing, are on disc 1 and 40-43 are on disc 2. See my comments on the Amazon forum for the product for more info
