I want to pick up the Kill Bill dvd's but kept hearing about this version coming out combing the 2 films. Does anyone have any info on the status of that? Should I hold out a little longer or just get the 2 present dvd's that are out now?-thanks

At this point and for how cheaply you can pick up both films I'd say just get them now and you can replace them without having spent a lot of money if The Whole Bloody Affair ever gets released.

This will be on hold as long as Disney decides what to do with Miramax. They have been unable to sell it and because it is on sale, they haven't made any approach or accepted any offers for third parties to license their titles.

The blu-ray versions are $12.99 each at Amazon and BestBuy right now. I payed twice that when they came out and i don't regret it because i have watched them several times already and the video quality is amazing

Disney does not own "The Whole Bloody Affair" version of Kill Bill, Weinstein does.

From what I understood, Disney has to give approval too for the release.

I bought the R2 Japanese cut of KBV1 back in 2004 and that's all I need.

I'd probably want to see the "Whole Bloody Affair" if it ever gets released, but I strongly doubt it'll ever replace Vol. 1 in my pantheon.

I just picked this one up earlier this year as well, although it is a bit annoying toggling the subtitles on when they speak Japanese. And I enjoy the revenge quote at the beginning of the US version to the "dedicated to" on the Japanese version.

I was thinking about doing an edit of these two but my ripping application doesn't like region 2 DVDs for some reason.

Have you set the drive to region 2?

Normally, I'm all for making a new thread on anything. . .but these countless Kill Bill Whole Bloody Affair ones are killing me. I say this because I'm a huge fan who really, really wants to hear some good news on Kill Bill and I click on these to only find out there is nothing new to report. Can't we just agree to not start another thread until someone actually heard something?

Went ahead and picked up Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 cheap @ Amazon Marketplace.

Yeah, I wish they had put the damn thing together to begin with. I put my 2 BDs in a double case and just used the artwork from one of the singles.

I sort of took it (or hoping) it was "could this be the latest word on the whole bloody affair?" Alas, wishful thinking. Like I said, I want to see this happen as much as anyone else.

Thanks to the ? in the thread title, I was mostly expecting a question bump. I have both vols. on BD and am happy with that. In case this ever happens, I can make the decision then.

I love the mentality that thinks if there was any news on this release, everybody would just hold it to themselves until prompted.

I gave up and Re-purchased Vol. 1 & 2 used for less than $3.00 a piece! This truly is BS that they never released this!!!
