Re: By which filmmaker do you own the most films.
I have 27 Fassbinder films which is only just over half his output.
I think technically I have more Almodovar since at 17 I have all of his feature movies.
13 Dario Argento.
19 Russ Meyer films.
13 Fellini.
2 Vincent Gallo :P.

yeah...but...now we have BD as well..so....it's only a miracle that I saw this considering my DVD thread time has GREATLY lessened in comparison to the HD thread which has increased a lot more every day.

Re: By which filmmaker do you own the most films.
Wes Craven, I have every one of his films available on DVD (except for Deadly Blessing, which is only available in region 4, I think)
According to DVDPedia:
Wes Craven - 18
George A. Romero - 10
Kevin Smith - 9
Sam Raimi - 8
John Carpenter - 7
Richard Donner - 6
Steven Spielberg - 6 (however it's counting the Indiana Jones movies (first 3) as 1, so really it's 8)

DVD Talk Special Edition
Re: By which filmmaker do you own the most films.
Not sure,but probably Kevin Smith.
-3 releases of Clerks(the Miramax Collector's Series{because of the exclusive Deleted Scene Intros},Clerks. X,and Clerks 15th BD)
-2 releases of Mallrats(the Universal Collector's Edition and Mallrats 10th)
-2 releases of Chasing Amy(Criterion DVD & Miramax BD)
-1 release of Dogma(2-Disc Special Edition)
-1 release of Clerks the Animated Series
-1 release of Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back(2-Disc DVD)
-1 release of Jersey Girl
-2 releases of Clerks II(2-Disc Special Edition with Suncoast Exclusive Bonus Disc, and the still sealed Best Buy Exclusive Mooby's Happy Meal Collector's Set)
-1 Release of Zack & Miri Make a Porno(2 Disc DVD)
Thats 8 films and an animated series, spread across 14 DVD or Blu-Ray releases. But now that I think of it I own quite a few Spielbergs, and another director like Smith that has multiple releases of the same films in Sam Raimi(Evil Dead Trilogy,Spider-Man Trilogy, and Drag Me To Hell).

-Tim Burton: 7 (8 if I include "Nightmare Before Christmas". I know he didn't direct it, but I still consider it a Burton film nonetheless)
